As a family we LOVE the Legoland hotel and as one of Tripasvisors top rated hotels in the UK we aren’t alone! Unfortunately prices for a Summer season stay can be eye watering and not in everyone’s budget.
Merlin pass holders do get up to 25% discount on hotel stays through the merlin holiday club. But if you’re open to visiting the hotel when the theme park is closed you can pick up deals cheaper than a travelodge!
What Are Splash & Stays?
Splash & Stays run through November and March offering all the in hotel perks it offers in main season. There’s a choice of themed rooms, each with a safe which you have to crack the code to get into to received a free Lego gift. This is normally a poly bag Lego set but we have had lanyards and badges too on some visits! The rooms are so much fun and children have their own seperate sleeping area complete with their own tv playing non stop Lego shows! There is also a big bucket of Lego to play with during your stay which Mason always loves.
Once you’re settled in you could choose to access the pirate themed swimming pool which has no limit on how many times you can use it during your stay. We often use the pool on arrival and before we leave the next day. You can enjoy an evening meal in Bricks followed by drinks after in the skyline bar!
It’s also a great way to meet Lego Characters as they are frequently brought out especially in the evening! There is plenty to keep the kids occupied with Lego pits everywhere you look!
Breakfast is also included in the price and has a full and varied menu.
Although the park isn’t open there is plenty to explore in Windsor itself if you want to before heading home.
The cheapest splash and stays are always weekday term time but as both Mason and I being at school we often book a Friday- Saturday and just go straight from school to the hotel.The Deal finder tool on the Legoland website is the best way to find the best deals and you can scroll through the months to see the prices for each date. This is great to use all year round to get the best deals when the park is open too!
Another tip we have is sometimes you can pick splash & Stays up through third party sites slightly cheaper. Trivago is my go to site for this but I will always check the others too. You can also pay on arrival with those deals rather than up front as you do through the Legoland site.
