With the sun finally showing up and spring in full swing, we decided it was time to shake off the cobwebs and head down to Clarence Pier for a chilled seaside evening. While we were there, we couldn’t resist finally checking out a local gem that’s been on our radar for ages—the Upside Down House Portsmouth!

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending press night for Annie the Musical at the Kings Theatre, Portsmouth—and what an absolute treat it was! This in-house production didn’t just meet expectations, it exceeded them. If ever we needed a reminder of the incredible talent we have right here in our local area, this show is it.

This year, we were lucky enough to be invited to attend Westlands Farm Shop's annual Lambing Event, a wonderful springtime tradition that invites families to get up close and personal with newborn lambs and learn about British farming practices in the heart of the Meon Valley. I’ll be honest—we weren’t familiar with Westlands before, but after this visit, we were incredibly impressed!

Last night, we were invited to witness a spellbinding spectacle at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, and I have to say, it was nothing short of magical. The team at celestial brought the classic tale of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to life in a breathtaking drone light show that had us all entranced from start to finish.

This half term, Mase and I stumbled upon the ultimate spot for gamers of all ages right in the heart of Havant town centre—Super Games World. If you’re a fan of video games (and let’s be real, who isn’t?), this independent retro video game store is a must-visit!

To say Mason isn't a fan of Maths is an understatement! He does well in the rest of his subjects at school but when it comes to Maths he lacks confidence and as result as developed a huhe dislike for it! As a parent, all I want is for him to reach his full potential in life and finding the right educational tools that genuinely engage children can be a challenge.

If you’re ever in Havant and fancy a bite to eat with a side of nostalgia, look no further than AJ’s Diner! We've heard amazing things about this place since it opened in December but she just hadn't got round to visiting until now with all the Christmas madness! Mase and I decided to pop in on a whim tonight on our way home and we were so glad we did. This family-run gem serves up not just a meal, but an experience, with its warm, retro American diner vibes that will instantly make you feel at home. Mason put it best when he said "Mum, I feel like we're in a movie!".

The Kings Theatre in Portsmouth is currently playing host to the spectacular Bat Out of Hell, the musical based on the iconic rock anthems of Meat Loaf. We have heard amazing things about the show so were so excited when we were fortunate enough to be invited to last nights press night at the kings! 

We had a Fantastic night at the Grove theatre watching this year’s wonderful Panto Beauty & The Beast with our Bedfordshire Family!
