Super Games World Gaming Lounge: Level Up In Havant!

Published on 18 February 2025 at 21:30

This half term, Mase and I stumbled upon the ultimate spot for gamers of all ages right in the heart of Havant town centre—Super Games World. If you’re a fan of video games (and let’s be real, who isn’t?), this independent retro video game store is a must-visit!

More Than Just a Store

Super Games World isn’t your typical game shop. Aside from the fact they buy, sell, and trade a wide selection of retro and modern video games, consoles, Pokemon cards, collectibles, toys, and more. What truly sets them apart is their awesome gaming lounge!

Honestly, we feel a little late to the party here. We only discovered Super Games World recently, but with the kids home this half-term, we figured it was the perfect time to grab some friends and head over for a fun-filled hour of gaming. And let me tell you, we were absolutely blown away by how cool this place is!

The Gaming Lounge

It’s the perfect blend of modern gaming and classic arcade nostalgia. Whether you're into the high-speed thrills of Fortnite or feeling the competitive rush of Mortal Kombat, there’s something for everyone. But let me tell you—despite all the modern games available, Mason’s absolute favourite was the original Sonic on a vintage Sega console! Watching the kids try to figure out the joys stick on those retro machines had us in stitches but they caught on quick!

Some of the highlights in the lounge include:

  • Mortal Kombat (Get ready for a fight)
  • Fortnite (Of course, it’s a crowd-pleaser)
  • Super Smash Bros (Time to bring your A-game)
  • GoldenEye (A classic N64 experience)
  • Point Blank (For all your shooting gallery fun)
  • Street Fighter (Another epic classic)
  • Mario Kart (Race your friends to victory)
  • Minecraft (Get your creative on)
  • Pac Man (Need I say more)

Our Final Verdict

We loved this place and will absolutely be returning (weekly if it's up to Mase). We are so lucky to have this little gem on our doorstep and we love the fact it's a independent family business. If you're in the area this half-term (or anytime, really), you have to pop in and check it out. It’s just £6 for one hour in the gaming lounge—such a steal for all the fun you’ll have! And if you're planning something special, they even do birthday parties!

We did just walk in on the day and we were lucky they were able to accommodate us but we recommend booking ahead of time to avoid disappointment!
