With Pumpkin season now upon us we headed to Legoland for Brick Or Treat which is their annual Halloween event. It’s become a half term tradition us so we were really excited to see what this years offering was like! Now it’s half term so as you would expect …Legoland is Packed! Just like most theme parks during the school holidays. So we weren’t aiming to do as many rides as possible we just focused on having a nice day with no pressure which is exactly what we had.
We started the day straight off the hill train and headed for Monster Street which is part of Legoland’s Halloween offering. We attended this last year and have to say although it was good last year the have upped their game! It felt more polished and organised this year with more queue control which is something we felt it needed last year!
The idea is there are 3 monster street residences and each one gives you an item for the little trick or treat bag they provide you with. The monster residence of the street are fantastic and stay fully in character the whole time which is so much fun! The costumes and make up have had a lot of effort out in which is so fab! Mason received a chomp, Halloween Legoland Pop Badge and then a little bag with Lego pieces in and a code to scan! When we scanned the code it revealed instructions and that the pieces make a Lego bat! So naturally Mason was very pleased with that!
The whole experience has no extra cost and is so much fun for kids (and adults)! They even do a “quiet hour” which is a toned down version for children that we benefit from this between 11-12 which is great! well done to Legoland for making it more inclusive so all kids have a chance to enjoy! We went around 12pm and there was basically no queue at this time although towards the end of the day we did notice on the app the queue was around 80 mins! I think people tend to head there as the last thing before they go home so I would recommend doing it earlier in your visit like we did!
As well as monster street they have a great Lego monster show on the lake at Heartlake City during this event. All the fun of the normal show with a Halloween twist!
There are also lots of Lego Monster Meet & Greets which we unfortunately missed due being on the rides but if you have littles who aren’t into rides things like this are fab as plenty for them to enjoy!
The 4D cinema also has an inclusive Lego Movie just for Brick Or Treat which we caught called The Great Monster Chase! Set on the grounds of legoland after the park closes. We defo recommend! Lots of fun for all the family!
After a fun day on the rides we headed out via Miniland and came across DJ Lord Vampires Disco which we hadn’t planned on doing but was so much fun we stayed! Who doesn’t love busting moves after a day of fun at legoland!
We would absolutely recommend this years Brick Or Treat offering! As always if you plan to go in school holidays aim to arrive early and be ready to queue. Be strategic and use the app for queue times to grab rides when they are at their lowest queue time. For more videos head on over to our Instagram & our other socials.
